Mrs. Rivas possesses over thirteen years of experience as a certified clinical social workers who is bilingual and bicultural. She has worked with a wide variety of groups, including LGBTQ+, those dealing with issues related to substance abuse and survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. In 2019, Mrs. Rivas is serving Erie's clients. The current telehealth services for mental health are available. Dr. Rivas, who is an active member of the Behavioral Healthcare Perinatal team that works with prenatal and postpartum mothers, is a trauma-informed therapist for adult patients and has a specialization in the use of trauma-informed treatments. She provides individual and group therapy, as well as the medication-assisted treatment program. Referrals for special care are also provided. Amanda works with Best Friends Animal Society to help homeless animals find homes. Best Friends' motto, "Save Them All", is something she believes passionately in.
